Starring Kareem Stanley as Adam and Chianne Cools as Kate, Heartfall delves into themes of love, loss, and the silent battles men face with depression and suicide. The narrative follows Adam, a man grappling with heartache after losing the love of his life. Consumed by his pain, he neglects his daughter, Mehgan, leading his father-in-law to step in. Upon discovering his own illness, the father-in-law urges Adam to overcome his grief to raise his daughter and possibly find new love. However, even after finding new love, Adam’s unresolved pain threatens to destroy this newfound relationship.

Elijah Anatole, founder of Artlas Studios, not only directed but also edited and color-graded the film. Through meticulous digital craftsmanship, Heartfall emulates the texture and warmth of traditional film, offering audiences a nostalgic and immersive cinematic experience.

Anatole expressed his passion for the project, stating, “This film is a passion project that not only tells a powerful love story but also sheds light on the mental health struggles that many men endure in silence. I hope it resonates with audiences and sparks meaningful conversations.”

He also extended gratitude to the key sponsors who contributed to bringing this project to life:

  • Ottis Effs and KFC St. Lucia for providing meals during the shooting period and allowing filming at one of their locations.

  • Jhotége Pamphile of Royal Touch for sponsoring her services to the film.

  • Bryan Devaux of Adventure Tours St. Lucia for providing one of his buggies for filming.
