Saint Lucia Carnival 2025

Saint Lucia Carnival is a vibrant explosion of color, music, and culture, transforming the island into a lively celebration of life and heritage. The festivities kick off weeks in advance with Calypso tents, Soca Monarch competitions, and Carnival Queen shows, building excitement and anticipation for the main events. The celebration reaches its peak during Carnival Monday and Tuesday, when the streets of Castries, the capital city, come alive with:

• J’ouvert Morning: An early-morning street party where revelers covered in paint, mud, and powder dance through the streets to pulsating soca rhythms.

• Parade of Bands: Masqueraders in elaborate costumes adorned with feathers, sequins, and glitter showcase their creativity as they dance behind music trucks blasting the latest soca hits.

• Road March Competition: Soca artists compete for the title of Road March King or Queen by having their songs played the most during the parade.
